Revelations
Using revelation options, your Stranger can reveal a playing card, a word from a booktest, objects pulled from a purse, a drawing written on a piece of paper, any selected time on a wrist watch and so much more. It’s all up to you and your creativity!
The Stranger is the only app that can make all of these effects possible!
Playing Card
Any playing card is selected or named. A random phone number is called. The Stranger on the other end of the line names the specatator’s card!
Listen

Booktest
Send any thought of word from your own Booktest to your live Stranger. But, it doesn’t stop there. You can send ANY word to your Stranger—a country name, a common name, a birthday, an object in someone’s purse…anything you can imagine!
Number
Send any number to your live Stranger. How much change is in your pocket? What number is showing on the rolled die? If you use a memorized deck, you can have your spectator choose a card, then you can send the number of the card location to your spectator…this elevates “card at any number” to a whole new level!
Wikitest
Perform WikiTest and the search word will be sent directly to your live Stranger. This creates a reveal that seems completely impossible!
Cubesmith
Our collaboration with CubeSmith allows a Rubik’s cube to be mixed and then a stranger is called. When asked if they have a Rubik’s cube, they look for it in their home, find it, and then the cubes are revealed to be an exact match!

What’s Included:
Conversation Recordings
Any playing card is selected or named. A random phone number is called. You interact with a pre-recorded conversation where the person in the recording will reveal the playing card. These recordings sound like real conversations!
International Support
The Stranger is global! With support for nearly 50 regions, there is truly an international community of Strangers. When you set the app to your region, the phone number format, ringer tones, disconnected recordings (see “convincers”) and the language for your phone screens will all be correct…automatically.
Upload One Conversation Recording
In most languages, the Stranger app comes pre-loaded with conversation recordings. You also have the ability to upload your own conversation recording to reveal a playing card, zodiac symbol, or anything else you want. It’s all up to your own imagination!
Convincers
Before you place the call to your Live Stranger (Live or Pro) or to the pre-recorded conversation for the reveal, you will first call a convincer. This could be a voicemail, or a number disconnected recording. These convincers dispel any thought that the routine has been pre-arranged.
Auto Detect:
To streamline your performance and enhance it’s believability, the Stranger app offers “auto-detect” for your phone number format, ringer tones, and disconnected number recording (convincer). Set your region in your settings and all of these will change automatically. If you enter a different country for a phone number, auto-detect will change all of these on the fly!
Fast Switching
During a performance, you need to be able to make choices and changes quickly without too many clicks. Fast-Switching makes this possible. Without leaving your Home Screen, you can make quick changes to your selected conversation recordings, convincers and live Strangers. The audience will never see you fumble while trying to make a change right in front of them!
User Portal
You are in control. With your user portal, you can make changes to your profile, store or update your personal links for other apps you use that integrate with the Stranger (Wikitest, iThump, Cubesmith, etc.) and you upload your custom conversation recordings.
Recent Calls
Automatically generate a recent calls list, or create your own custom list, that contains the last number you called during your Stranger performance. This allows you to call back the Stranger!
Peek
You’ll always feel secure with the peek features in the Stranger app. Before you place that first phone call, you’ll know exactly what information has been sent to your Stranger and what information you’ve entered for the reveal in your conversation recordings. And with perfectly placed secret buttons, you can always go back to make a change. The Stranger app has you covered.
Ringtones
When you place a phone call, the ringer tones before the Stranger picks up the phone (Live or pre-recorded) are different for each region. The Stranger app plays the correct ringer tones for you automatically. And you can change the number of tones for each type of call. So, for a voicemail convincer, you may choose 4 tones to add to the believability of the call.
Practice
The Stranger app is one of the easiest effects to perform. And, with practice mode built directly into the app, you’ll feel totally comfortable the first time you present this in front of an audience.
Dark Mode (iOS only)
The phone screens can display in light or dark mode.
Bluetooth
Performing in a loud space, or on a stage? With built in bluetooth capabilities, you can connect your phone to a bluetooth speaker and be heard by everyone.

What’s Included:
Text Your Stranger
The texting feature will send a text message to your Stranger automatically with all the revelation information: the playing card, word in a booktest, the Rubik’s cube algorithm, number, birthday, and anything else. Your Stranger will know everything before they even receive your call. It’s seamless!
Video Calling
Video calling with a live Stranger blows the believability through the roof! The Stranger app allows video calling to occur with your live Stranger between Android and Android devices, iPhone and iPhone as well as iPhone and Android.
Custom Convincers
Record your own convincers directly in the app! Record someone hanging up the call, or unable to hear you. Anything you can think of can be recorded and used during your performance.
Auto Advance
The features in the Stranger app are often born from real life performance situations. Auto advance is one of those features. What happens if your live Stranger doesn’t answer the call? Maybe their phone died, or they went out of cell service range. During performance, with Auto advance engaged, you can just dial another random number and the next Stranger in your list will be called automatically.
Send Alert Text
With the press of one button right from the app start screen, you can easily alert your Stranger to let them know your show is beginning.
Wifi Calling
With the wifi feature enabled, you can call your Stranger, anywhere in the world, without incurring cell service fees.
Fake Homescreen
With the fake home screen enabled, you can allow your spectator to press the phone app button and you’ll be secretly taken to the Stranger app phone screen. It’s the perfect ruse!
Apple Watch
Using your Apple Watch, you can input revelation information (playing card, number, word). You can even use your Apple Watch to activate the listen mode and listen for key phrases or serial numbers without ever taking your phone out of your pocket!
Send Fake Number
With this feature activated, a second text message will be sent to your Stranger with the phone number called. This gives them more information to convince your audience the call is real.

Texting Included
The texting feature is included with your Pro subscription. Your Stranger will have all the information they need, no matter the reveal, before you even make the call!
Push Notifications
Pro users can send all reveal data through notifications to other Pro users. This notification can be sent with or without sending a text message and can be used as a backup to the text message in the case of poor cell service.
City Lookup (U.S.A. Only)
When the “Send Fake Number” feature is activated, the text message will also include the city you are calling. When the Stranger knows where they live, it can be a great convincer for the call.
Borrowed Phone Mode (Perform using a borrowed phone)

Auto Send Text
With this feature enabled, your text message with all of your revelation information is sent to your Stranger without the need to touch your phone. This creates a truly seamless presentation.
Number Reveal
The number modules allows any number, birthday, or time to be revealed by your Stranger. How much change does someone have in their pocket? What date were they born? What time creates a memory for them? What are the numbers in their pin code? There is even an integration with David Penn’s Pi Revelations.
Birthday Reveal (Number Module)
When using the Number revelation module (available as an in-app purchase for Live users and included with Pro), you can turn on “Birthday” mode to convert your four digit number into a month and day for your Stranger to reveal. When your Stranger’s birthday matches your spectators, it generates a huge reaction!
Booktest Reveal
The Booktest module is deceptively powerful. Create your own lists of words from a booktest, objects on a desk or in a purse, birthdays, Wikitest words…anything you can imagine can be created. It’s entirely up to you!
Listen Reveal
Listen is the most powerful module. The Stranger app can listen to your conversation and extract key pieces of information, such as the serial number from a bill, keywords…anything. You can even listen using your Apple Watch and keep your phone in your pocket. Combine this with Spectator Mode for a truly mind blowing effect!
NFC Reveal
Using NFC tags, your possibilities expand greatly. Allow a spectator to select one of 5 envelopes and using NFC tags, the Stranger will know what envelope has been selected!
Nailwriter Reveal

Pathways is a way to organize settings to create a flow for a routine in Stranger Pro. As The Stranger App has become more of a tool, and at times, a complex one, it is possible to use it multiple times in one show. Pathways will make it possible to effortlessly move from one routine to the next without having to change any settings. And with its auto-advance feature, you’ll be able to seamlessly move from one Pathway to the next without ever touching your phone.
